Summary
Our role is to design financial systems for the Controllers Organization that identify and manage risk, allocate revenue and costs, and facilitate
Firmwide planning and forecasting processes. Our key deliverables are used by the CFO and by management in all of the key business units. We
provide daily, monthly, and quarterly P&L, Segment, Expense, Budget, Allocation, and Project analysis. Our users number in the hundreds, and include
people from all Divisions and Offices of the Firm.We strive to continuously add additional value by: Delivering critical P&L information to senior
management intelligently, accurately, and meaningfully Empowering global users to identify and analyze costs across all services and activities. This
analysis ultimately impacts key business decisions. Strive for exception based processing We have recently implemented a robust Data Mart which is
utilized to integrate disparate systems, and to extend the self - service concept to Financial Reporting. This system is predominantly built using
Hyperion Essbase, UDB, and web development tools from the Alphablox corporation.We also are currently beginning development on a java based daily
P&L system which is being developed in conjunction with PARA technology.
Principal Responsibilities
The responsibility of the group is to develop, enhance and support financial systems used globally by Controllers and Divisional Administrators in the
reporting and analysis of Firmwide P&L, Expenses, Allocations, and Budgets.We currently have a backlog of enhancement requests to continue the
build out of our global web reporting site with new features and functionality.Recent economic conditions have fostered increased attention to financial
results, which in turn, is creating additional interest in extending and creating new tools to help to better understand, analyze, budget, project and
model firm results.As a member of a small group, you will have the opportunity to participate in multiple aspects of project analysis and development.
You will deal closely with, and learn from, our Users, who are exposed to all aspects of the business. The position will encompass multiple roles
including analytical, developer, system integrator, and system maintainer.
Experience/Skills
Data warehouse experience, Multi-dimensional database design, Hyperion Essbase.
Web Development skills. AlphaBlox experience. Tomcat/WebLogic, J2EE, JSP SQL, tuning and optimization, UDB
